The Barry Amiel & Norman Melburn Trust, in partnership with the Independent Workers’ union of Great Britain (IWGB), is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Durbidge as this year’s Research Fellow.
Joe’s research will be in two parts: first, undertaking strategic research with branches for upcoming campaigns, including examining company accounts, identifying decision makers and pressure points, as well as other support where needed. Second, Joe will work with members and staff to document and evaluate previous campaigns in the Union.
The annual research fellowship is funded by the Trust to give an individual the opportunity to further develop their skills and interests in research within the not-for-profit sector.
The fellowship will run until October 2023, and any publications Joe leads on for IWGB will be made available on the Trust’s website.
